The University of Texas at Arlington sets the standard for educational excellence in the thriving Dallas-Fort Worth area. With an enrollment approaching 33,500, it's the second largest institution in the UT System and the sixth largest in Texas.
The Planetarium is located in $43M cutting-edge Chemistry and Physics research facility that has beautiful atrium, executive conference room, research laboratories and Tier-2 computing facility of ATLAS experiment being conducted at CERN.
State-of-the-art planetarium has 60-feet Astro-Tec dome, 150 seats, and Evans & Sutherland's 6-channel DLP projection system with Digistar5 software.
UT Arlington also has a second planetarium facility located in a historic building called Round House. The Round House planetarium has 30-feet SPITZ dome, 59 seats, Digistar5 SP projection system (1K), and is primarily used for Astronomy labs, productions and testing dome content.
